We recommend that all changes are recorded and ultimately approved or rejected as a Portfolio IQ Change Request. This ensures a central repository of all scope changes and the impact each change has on the portfolio or the program.
While change requests typically impact the schedule and budget, it is important that all impacts including resourcing, quality, risk and procurement are reviewed and documented on the change request.
To record and manage program and/or portfolio change requests:
Create new change request
- Ensure you have the appropriate portfolio or program open in Portfolio IQ.
- Click the Changes tab.
- Click +New Change Request.
- Fill in the Name field.
Important: It is mandatory and it should be clear and concise to help users identify the change request in screens, reports, and dashboards. - Provide additional details in the remaining fields.
- Click Save and Close.
Update change requests
- Ensure you have the appropriate portfolio or program open in Portfolio IQ.
- Click the Changes tab.
- Click on the Change Request to be updated from the list.
- Update any field, as required.
- Click Save & Close.
