Define non-project time (03:31)

Non-Project Time

You can define as many non-project categories as needed to allow Team Members to record where their time was spent on each Timesheet.

We recommend defining non-project time categories that will allow you to review and analyse the non-project time, to understand why team members are not available for project work, as opposed to tracking every possible activity a team member may be involved in from a contractual or human resource perspective.

Recognizing that the main purpose of Timesheets is to capture actual hours worked on Projects, we recommend you minimize the number of non-project rows that appear by default on the timesheet to make the project based rows easier to access.

And finally, you should define whether each non-project item is Working time, such as Support Work, or Non-working, such as Sick or Vacation, to allow you to better analyse and understand the reasons why non-project time is being used and reducing the time available for Project work.
