Important: If you are not familiar with the Resources area, we recommend you review the upcoming Resources Overview page It will provide you with a working knowledge of the Resources area.

Enterprise calendars define the typical work hours on a weekly basis and resource calendars define specific over-rides for individual resources to reflect additional non-work time, such as vacation. These calendars determine the calculation of resource capacity in Sensei IQ.

Here are a few practical tips:

  • You should create as many enterprise calendars as needed to define the availability of all project resources.
  • Enterprise calendars are most commonly defined by country to define different work weeks and country specific holidays, or to define the availability of unique resource types or work hours.
  • Resource Calendar exceptions override the enterprise calendar for a resource to define additional non-working time which is not identified in the enterprise calendar.
  • This ensures that you have an accurate understanding of the number of hours each resource is available for project allocation (capacity).
