Understanding the technology components (01:24)

The technology components included within the Sensei IQ platform consist of the following.

Microsoft Power Apps is used for the Sensei IQ model-driven app, it uses Dataverse as it’s backend database platform, Power Apps Component Framework (or PCF) control are used to add visualization elements within forms, built-in charts are created at the table level, and a few SQL Server Reporting Services reports using FetchXML queries are used within the app.

  • Power BI is used for analytic reports that are embedded into the app.
  • Power Automate is used for the proposal workflow and uses approvals to promote a proposal into a project.
  • We’ve developed a Microsoft Teams app that allows you to easily create pre-defined teams for each project and allows you to collaborate easily on your project all within the Teams app.
  • Exchange Online is used for secure email notifications that is used within the proposal workflow.
  • Microsoft 365 Groups are used to give direct permissions to projects, programs, or portfolios and once assigned it creates a Group site in SharePoint Online that you can leverage for document storage.
  • Several execution tools can be used for task management and synced to Sensei IQ using dataflows. Currently, we support Project for the web, Project Online, Azure DevOps, Jira, and our own IQ Schedule.
