Important: If you are not familiar with Strategy IQ, we recommend you review the Strategy IQ Overview page. It will provide you with a working knowledge of the Strategy IQ area.
Strategy IQ allows you to define benefits and associate them with Strategic Goals as well as Portfolios, Programs and Projects. The focus at this stage is to help you understand how to identify the benefits and define the outputs and outcomes the benefit will produce as well as the specific metrics that the benefit will be tracked against, across all levels in Sensei IQ – projects, programs, and portfolios.
Here are a few practical tips:
- Strategy IQ allows your organization to prioritize and align all delivery work with organizational objectives and then measure and validate that the approved work is delivering the expected benefits.
- It usually starts with the initial identification of the benefit and capturing the high level information including the objectives, goals and dependencies for each.
- Benefit outputs can also be captured to define the expected deliverables or outcomes and define the results expected.
- The expected results will be defined using tangible, or quantitative metrics or intangible, or qualitative measures.
- And finally, the benefit can be tracked against these expected results to measure and validate the realization of the benefit.
