Portfolios and programs are utilized to track major initiatives in an organization, but all the work is defined and completed in projects. Therefore, it is important that the related programs and projects are updated as needed to support the current needs which typically involves adding or removing the supporting projects and programs associated with existing portfolios and programs.
To adjust an existing portfolio or program:
Add a new supporting program or project
- Select the Programs/Projects tab.
- Select Add Existing Program or Add Existing Project as appropriate.
- Search for and select the appropriate program (or project) from the list.
Tip: We are utilizing the same steps described in the Add related programs and projects lesson in Portfolio IQ.
Remove a supporting program or project
- Select the Programs/Projects tab.
- Select the Program (or Project) you wish to delete from the list.
- After confirming this is the correct record, select the header drop down.
- Click X to remove the association to a Portfolio (or Program).
