Projects and Work Overview (04:32)

Welcome to Projects and Work areas.

Together they are the central repository for all projects and project supporting items. Projects contains all the projects across the organization with a focus on the project manager while Work contains project supporting items with a focus on the individual team member.

Projects provides an efficient way to manage all the projects across the organization with the ability to drill into the details of each:

  • When you access Projects the site map on the left has links to Insights, Projects, Key Dates, and Deliverables in the Leadership section.
  •  Insights, the imbedded reporting pertains to all projects across the organization and provides dynamic links back to the data in Sensei IQ or project for the web for easy review and updating.
  •  Work links allow you to also view and maintain all the supporting items across projects.

Projects offers the ability to capture and easily maintain all details about the project including a summary, business case, supporting items, and documents.

It supports multiple project types with the ability to specify which supporting items are applicable for each type.  There is also a configurable governance workflow to advance the project through your organizations defined phases which can also be configured individually for each project type.

Work is focused on the individual team member and gives an overview of what the team member needs to do across projects assigned to them:

  • That means all project tasks, issues, risks, change requests, and other supporting items listed in the site map on the left.
  •  Imbedded Insights reporting presents all the team members data to help prioritize their work in the context of what is important to the organization.
  • The reports are dynamic and provide links to Sensei IQ for quick review and updating.
